Give a little possibility this Christmas.
A Snag balance gift is a claim link, not a plastic card. They add it to their wallet and open a mystery pack — a warm last-minute present.
Shipping a sweater on the 23rd is a prayer. A Snag gift is a URL: snag.city/c/ plus a short code. They open it, verify a U.S. phone, and the amount lands on their wallet. The present is the open — that little pause before a prize appears.
What they actually get
Not a plastic card. Not a SKU in a warehouse. Credit on their Snag balance, same wallet they would fill with Shopify. Packs from $1 to $50 spend that balance. Each open creates a prize IOU they can redeem for shipping or sell back for the stated catalog value.
Odds live on the pack. Stated values describe the catalog prize, not a live retail quote. Balance is for packs and shipping, not a bank withdrawal.
How a gift link works
- They open the gift link they were sent (
/c/<code>). - They sign in with a U.S. mobile number — one-time SMS, no marketing texts.
- The gift amount is added to their wallet once.
- They browse themes and open a pack.
If the link is used, expired, or invalid, Snag says so. It will not promise an amount it cannot pay. Buy a $10, $25, $50, or $100 card on the gift page — after Shopify checkout you get a one-use claim link to send. There is no agent API that mints codes. Claiming always happens on snag.city.
After the open
The prize sits in Inventory. Redeem for shipping and Snag creates a Shopify fulfillment order for that one item. Or sell it for 100% of stated value and open again.
Treat-yourself path, no gift link required: add cash with Shopify, pick a theme, open something unexpected. New accounts get $1.00 once after they verify a U.S. phone.
If you already have a gift link, open it. If you want to send one, buy a gift card. If you are shopping for yourself, start with a pack. Either way, it is a small price and a little possibility.
